Back in 2017, we were absolutely gobsmacked.
It wasn’t the success of the Transport Manager CPC.
It wasn’t the demand.
What really stood out was how the industry actually operated.
Hundreds—no, thousands—of people were sitting in classrooms for 10 full days before even attempting the exams. At the time, even our own courses followed that model using external trainers. It was considered normal. It was the “industry standard.”
The truth is… the system wasn’t built around helping people pass.
Instead, it was designed to keep people on courses.
The Classroom Model Nobody Wants to Admit
Let’s be honest about what was really happening—and in many places, still is:
7 – 10 days of death by PowerPoint.
After that, the pattern was predictable:
Trainers clocking in at 8 or 9… and out at 4 or 5. Not a minute more.
There was very little one-to-one support.
No proper tracking of whether learners were actually ready.
Testing throughout the process was almost non-existent.
Here’s the uncomfortable reality:
The longer someone stayed in training, the more money the provider made.
Efficiency wasn’t the priority. Results weren’t treated as they should have been. Keeping people in the system is what really mattered.
Think about that for a moment.
Spending over a week learning at someone else’s pace, with limited feedback and no personalised support… and then being expected to pass a tough exam at the end of it.
In many cases, even the trainer had no clear idea who would pass and who wouldn’t.
That isn’t proper training.
It’s paying—and hoping for the best.
The Moment Everything Changed
In 2017, we made a decision:
“This isn’t good enough.”
Rather than tweaking the old model, we replaced it completely.
A fully online Transport Manager CPC course was built from the ground up.
It wasn’t a watered-down version.
Nor was it recorded classroom sessions.
Instead, it became a structured system focused on learning, tracking progress, and getting people through the exam.
The response at the time?
There was plenty of doubt.
“You can’t teach this online.”
“People need the classroom.”
“It won’t work.”
What they really meant was:
“This doesn’t fit how we’ve always done things.”
8 Years Later… Where Are We Now?
Fast forward to today.
Those same companies are now trying to copy what we built.
Online courses are everywhere.
However, copying the format isn’t the same as delivering results.
They can try replicating the layout.
They can try following the structure.
They can try to reuse similar messaging.
What they can’t replicate is what actually makes it work.
This was never just about moving training online.
It was about genuinely helping people pass.
Most providers are still focused on volume—getting people signed up and, if they fail, bringing them back through the system again.
Our focus has always been different.
The goal is simple: getting you through and giving you the best chance of passing the exam the first time.
That’s why copying us won’t give them the same outcomes.
What We Do Differently
Moving online wasn’t about convenience.
The decision was made because the old model wasn’t working for learners.
With our course, you get:
- Structured learning you can follow at your own pace
- Continuous testing so you always know where you stand
- Real tutor support when you need it—not just within fixed hours
- The ability to revisit and reinforce difficult topics
- A system designed to help you pass, not just complete a course
There’s no dragging things out.
No wasted time.
No need to pay again because you weren’t properly prepared the first time.
This Isn’t Just an Alternative. It’s a Better Way
We’re not pretending we didn’t come from classroom training.
That’s how the industry worked.
But we changed because the problem was clear.
Too many providers focused on filling seats.
Far fewer focused on getting results.
That situation hasn’t really changed.
Many are now trying to follow what we built—
but without the same standards,
without the same level of care,
and without the same commitment to helping people succeed.
Ready to See the Difference?
If you’re serious about becoming a Transport Manager—and actually passing your CPC—then it’s time to move on from outdated training methods.
This isn’t about sitting through another course.
It’s about learning it properly the first time.
And doing it with people who genuinely care whether you pass or not.
