How to Get Transport Manager Jobs

Pass the CILT examinations

You will need to pass the CILT examinations to become a transport manager in the UK. This qualification makes it possible for you to work as a transport manager not only in the UK but internationally as well.

Once you have completed the course and passed your exam you will be qualified in road haulage operations or passenger transport operations depending on wether you choose to become a transport manager for heavy goods vehicles (HGV’s) such as lorries or passenger service vehicles (PSV) such as buses and coaches.

Career Options

Once you have passed there are several career paths you can take with your certification. You can become the transport manager on an operator license or choose freelance work as an external transport manager.

Finally, you must have a device that is functioning properly. This could be a laptop, desktop, or tablet. You should have the ability to easily access a  speaker, microphone, and camera.

Passing the Course

There are mock exams that you can take ahead of taking your final examinations and this will go a long way in helping you prepare for your final exam. There are two examinations that you must pass. The first exam is multi-format and the second one involves a case study.
